Four reasons these become the only sleeves you reach for.
Designed with real gardeners and tested through five Santa Cruz growing seasons. Every detail solves a problem you've actually had.
01
Blocks 98% of UV Rays
Tested to UPF 50+ by an independent lab, these sleeves intercept 98% of UVA and UVB radiation before it touches your skin. That means real protection through peak hours, not just light filtering.
02
Stops Scratches & Thorns
Tight-knit fabric creates a barrier between your forearms and whatever you're pruning, trellising, or harvesting. Roses, squash leaves, tomato suckers — none of it reaches skin.
03
Lighter Than a T-Shirt
Four-way stretch knit engineered from recycled REPREVE® fibers weighs under 2.5 oz per pair. You'll forget you're wearing them until you take them off and feel the sun.
04
Stays Put — Thumb Loop
Slip on over any shirt and anchor the thumb loop. The sleeve stays in place whether you're reaching overhead, kneeling in beds, or carrying flats. No bunching, no slipping.
Built from REPREVE®. Because it performs better that way.
- Made from 100% recycled plastic bottles — certified by REPREVE®
- Four-way stretch moves with every reach, kneel, and carry
- Moisture-wicking keeps you dry when the work heats up
Protection Sleeves are made for the hours you spend outdoors
Whether you’re tending a backyard garden or exploring the great outdoors, if the sun’s on your arms, protection should be too.
You Garden Daily
For the person who's outside every morning before the heat peaks, tending beds, harvesting, or just walking the rows.
You Have Sensitive Skin
If spending time outdoors leaves your skin feeling sensitive or irritated. Our sleeves offer lightweight coverage that stays comfortable all day
You're Tired of Sunscreen
Greasy hands while handling seeds or transplants? Sunscreen that wears off in an hour? There's a better way. Pull these on and forget about it.
You Want To Protect Tattoos
UV fades ink faster than age. Full-sleeve UPF 50+ coverage keeps your work vivid for years longer than going bare in the garden.
You Brush Poison Ivy
A physical barrier between your skin and urushiol oil is the most reliable prevention. Slip these on when working near ivy, oak, or sumac.
You Drive · Hike · Bike
Window UV, trail exposure, road cycling — these sleeves work everywhere sun finds your arms, not just in the garden.

Sleeve FAQs
Will these protect against thorns/poison ivy?
While our Protection Sleeves haven't been independently lab-tested against urushiol, thousands of customers wear them specifically for working around poison ivy, poison oak, and thorny plants. The fabric is designed to act as a physical barrier between your skin and what you're working around.
They're built for everyday garden and field work — pulling weeds, pruning roses, clearing brush, and protecting your arms from the scratches and irritation that come with it. They're not puncture-proof, so very heavy thorny work may still get through — but for typical garden tasks, they hold up well.

Just what I needed
"Can work outside without getting poison ivy again. Thanks for this."
Garden sleeves
"Great fit, protects my arms from thorns, etc. while I'm working."
Perfect solution
"I am very happy with my protection sleeves. I have been tackling an overgrown yard full of poison ivy. For the first time in many attempts, I was finally able to clear the poison ivy while comfortable and no exposure!!"
Will I get hot wearing them?
In mild-to-moderate heat, most customers report feeling cooler in our sleeves than in a long-sleeve shirt — the fabric is lightweight and breathable, and it blocks the sun while still letting air move through.
For extreme heat or extended outdoor use, you may prefer our ProMesh Protection Sleeves, made with a lightweight breathable mesh panel fabric designed specifically for hot weather.
Tip from our customers: wet the sleeves in cold water before working — the evaporation creates a noticeable cooling effect.
What's the difference between these and ProMesh?
Both styles offer UPF 50+ protection and help shield your arms from scratches, dirt, and bugs. It really comes down to comfort and personal preference — many of our customers own both.

Really neat product!
These look like they wi be exactly what I need to wi in my rose bed and in the garden but unfortunately I ordered the wrong size-they won’t go too much past my elbows. These are extra small. I don’t know if I need small or medium but these just won’t work.
So far so good
The sleeves are comfortable however the top of the 'arm' is a little too tight, not sure how to correct that, might just roll them down a bit. But the real test will be in 'mosquito season', hopefully the sleeves can protect against those stingers and horrible itching that follows. They do help when pruning roses...doing what they promise. The gloves are good but a little large, might try the small size for a better fit. The velcro on the gloves is great...really holds well and don't end up with dirt up my hand! Thankyou for the 'gift' slippers, at work and doing well!!

Pretty and Practical
I love the sleeves. I bought these after buying the protection sleeves for our grown children as Xmas gifts. They are fantastic (they say so too).
